What do I need for admission?

To qualify for admission to the Tomsk State University Master’s Programme you must have been awarded a Bachelor’s / Specialist degree or hold an equivalent degree recognised as a Bachelor’s diploma, Specialist diploma or Master’s diploma in the Russian Federation.

Admission is furthermore based on the results of an applicants portfolio competition and an interview subjected to the Programme’s qualification profile.

Entrance examinations for foreign citizens is held in English. Video conferencing is available.

Entrance examinations for Russian citizens is held in Russian.

An important admission requirement is English language proficiency corresponding to levels B1-B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

  • Application/ registration form/ consent to personal data processing / letter of consent
  • Documents serving as proof of identity and citizenship (scanned copy)
  • Document certifying the level of higher education completed (including diploma supplement) (original)
  • Officially certified Russian translation of an international higher education degree and supplement to it (original) (for foreign citizens)
  • 4 photos (3×4 cm)
  • Letter of motivation (an explanation of applicant’s motivation for engaging in the programme and their expectations, in English)
  • Curriculum Vitae (in tabular form, in English)
