September 24-26, 2014, TSU delegation headed by Professor Vladimir Demkin visited Maastricht University. Vladimir Demkin (Vice-Rector for Network-Based Information Activities), Sergey Orlov (Head of Engineering Support of the Supercomputer) and Oleg Demkin (Head of Engineering Support of the Data Centre) held the following meetings:
- meeting with Dr. Martin Paul, President of UM;
- meeting with Prof. Harry Steinbusch (research trajectories of the two TSU psychology students currently conducting their studies in the laboratory of Professor Steinbusch; joint PhDs, joint events);
- meeting with Prof. Herman Kingma and Dr. Raymond van de Berg (research trajectories of the three TSU physics students currently conducting their studies in the laboratory of Prof. Herman Kingma; joint PhDs, joint events; TSU/MU laboratory headed by Prof. Herman Kingma);
- meeting with Prof. Hans Savelberg, Ms. Mariette Cruijssen, Ms. Nieke Guillory and Prof. Herman Kingma (master’s programme based on the current master’s students of UM biomedical sciences with further specialisation in medical physics at TSU);
- meeting with Dr. Kamil Uludag (high-performance data processing using TSU Supercomputer);
- meeting with ICT Coordinator FHML Jacques Beursgens and Software Engineer Iwan de Jong (establishing data channel between UM and TSU);
- meeting with Prof. Ralf Peeters and his team (exploring opportunities for collaboration);
- meeting with Prof. Ron Heeren (exploring opportunities for collaboration);
- meeting with Prof. Peter Peters (exploring opportunities for collaboration),
- meeting with the five TSU exchange students currently studying at UM.
