The Programme is offered jointly by the Faculty of Physics in Tomsk State University (The Russian Federation) and the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Life Science in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.maastrichtuniversity.nl\/toma-double-degree-programme\" target=\"_blank\">Maastricht University (The Netherlands)<\/a>. The Programme has strong partnership with Siberian State Medical University (The Russian Federation).<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The programme aims for adventurous top students who are motivated to work hard in interdisciplinary \ufb01elds of science.<\/p>\n<p>The programme will opt for a multi- and interdisciplinary approach and a variety of teaching methods in the form of task-, problem- and project-based learn ing, lecture-based and practical work \u2014 all aimed at\u00a0 increasing student\u2019s responsibility, independence and competences.<\/p>\n<p>[su_spoiler title=&#8221;About the Programme&#8221; icon=&#8221;arrow-circle-1&#8243;]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Physics methods involving laser radiation, X-ray apparatus, computed tomography, MRI, and methods and tools of nuclear medicine are now widely used in medicine for treatment and diagnosis. Complex electronic equipment \u2013 various types of accelerators, thermal imaging cameras, EEG devices \u2013 is becoming more popular. Advanced information technologies and high-performance computing systems enable efficient processing of multidimensional data. Consequently, knowledge in physics, mathematics, electronic, computer science and comprehensive understanding of medical tasks are required to provide research and healthcare institutions with qualified specialists.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On the other hand, rapid growth of knowledge in such spheres as virology, bacteriology, immunology, oncology, genetic engineering, and genetic therapy is accompanied by increasing attention to the influence of the environment on human health.
