July 2, 2015 the Three-Party Agreement between National Research Tomsk State University and the Transnational University Limburg (tUL) and Maastricht University was signed in the Consulate of the Honourary Consul of the
Russian Federation in Maastricht. The object of the Agreement is the Master’s Programme in biomedicine. It was signed by TSU Rector Eduard Galazhinskiy, tUL Rector Luc Soete, and President of Maastricht University Martin Paul. The event was attended by the Honourary Consul of the Russian Federation in the Netherlands, representatives of the Russian Federation Embassy and the Trade Mission of the Russian Federation in the Netherlands, representatives of the Municipality of Maastricht, and the academic faculty staff of Maastricht University.
The Programme aims to provide highly qualified specialists in interdisciplinary knowledge – physics, medicine and information technologies – who are demanded on the labour market by national high technological medical centres and medical industry.
The Programme is taught in English. Students from Russia and the Netherlands spend their first academic year at TSU. During their second academic year they conduct research at Maastricht University. Students that successfully complete their study are awarded Master’s degree in Physics of Tomsk State University and Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences of Maastricht University.
